Y yo que pensaba que los lobos no servían más...
Siendo un jugador de Lobos Espaciales el otro día estaba lamiéndome las heridas tras haber visto el codex Dark Angels y quejándome, como todo buen jugador marine, de que mi querido códex no es tan ladrón como el de los chicos de la secta de los camisones...
En ese momento fue en el que Ollanius me pasó una lista y me dijo "esta lista ganó un torneo el fin de semana". Al ver el torneo vi que no era cualquier cosa sino que se trataba del GT de Hobart en la gloriosa (y libre de Covid) Australia.
Este torneo contó con la presencia de treinta jugadores de los cuales trece jugaron con Space Marines.
Para sorpresa de varios el top seis quedó conformado de la siguiente forma:

Por qué funciona?
La respuesta es bastante sencilla y está dividida en dos pero al parecer se nos pasó por alto a todos. En primer lugar tenemos al Bibliotecario en armadura Phobos. Este agradable sujeto tiene una excelente combinación de poderes y warlord traits bien balanceados que nos permiten hacer de la cobertura nuestra mejor amiga. Sumado a esto va a estar bien protegido por los Incursors que se despliegan junto con el adelantados, y en caso de querer cargarlo justamente por que están adelante, nuestro oponente tendrá que vérselas con una cantidad interesante de ataques que van a pegar siempre primero.
La segunda parte de esta ecuación son los Long Fangs. Venían volando bajo el radar hace mucho tiempo pero con esta lista les han vuelto a dar vida demostrando que son los mejores devastadores por ahora. Siempre y cuando este protegidos (como aquí que pueden descender en las auras de nuestro biblio) caen en su Drop Pod y hacen un hermoso desmadre en las líneas enemigas.
El resto de la lista está compuesto por duras y eficientes unidades de Thunderwolf Cavalry acompañadas por nuestro Capellán Primaris en moto, un Wolf Lord en Thunderwolf, dos unidades de linea para proteger y tomar puntos así como un Cyberwolf para sumar al control de mesa, mientras que una unidad de Wolf Guard hace de comodín y se encarga de alguna situación molesta.
Con todas estas herramientas la lista se comportó de maravillas en este evento y demostró que, a pesar de que se viene una época gobernada por marines de lealtad ambigua que usan bata de baño sobre su armadura, el codex Space Marines está lleno de posibilidades para lo que sea.
En segundo lugar tenemos una lista de Raven Guard que me llenó de alegría al verla porque me dió la esperanza de que no todo esta perdido para los Centuriones y los Aggressors a pesar del martillazo que se comieron por parte de GW.

La idea es que usa el rasgo del señor para infiltrar a los Agressor, usa la estratagema de movimiento en los centuriones, y tira todo en la cara del rival, aprovechando la mejora en los flamer y las increíbles capacidades homicidas de los personajes de la raven!

Según comentarios del creador, esta lista fue capaz de lidiar con Mortarion, la amenaza de moda, en poco tiempo tras causarle doce heridas con las Retributors en el primer turno y dejando que del resto se encarguen las Repentias.

Esto deja en evidencia que el meta si bien está, y va a estar controlado por los marines por un largo rato, todavía tiene potencial para sorpresas por todos lados. Salvo los Tau. Los Tau no cuentan.
